BR-KSA-CL-70Issue time is longer than 24 characters

This rule was retired in rule pack 2.0.0: ZATCA's SDK 3.4.8 no longer includes the assertion it mirrored, so Mutabiq no longer reports it. Reports produced by earlier rule packs may still name it; the explanations below are kept for them.

Issue time is longer than 24 characters

What is wrong

The invoice's cbc:IssueTime is more than 24 characters long. ZATCA rejects that under the rule whose message code is BR-KSA-CL-70 - search for that code and not for BR-KSA-70, which is the label printed inside the message text and is not what the checker outputs. The message reads: field character limit for issue time field. The limit is generous - a time with a fractional part and an offset, 14:30:00.000000+03:00, is 21 characters - so exceeding it usually means the field holds something other than a time.

What to check in your ERP

Check what is being written into cbc:IssueTime. A full date and time together, rather than the time alone, is the usual cause: the date belongs in cbc:IssueDate and only the time of day belongs here. A time zone name written out in words, or a descriptive suffix appended for a report, will also push past the ceiling. Write the time as HH:MM:SS - for example 14:30:00 - which is what the ZATCA sample invoices carry.
